ETRC Program

Program for improving English teaching facilities and equipment

Set objectives

  1. The improvement of listening and speaking equipment at elementary and junior high schools to enhance teaching quality.
  2. The purchase of English books at elementary and junior high schools to build library collections.
  3. In charge of the supervision of schools to create a bilingual environment to reinforce an English learning environment.
  4. Assist schools in maximizing school environments to create scenario simulation classrooms.
  5. Enhance English learning and communicative abilities to reinforce the unity of learning and practical application.

Develop strategies

Short-term goals

Regarding schools’ basic listening devices and the planning of basic bilingual environment, the completion rate is 100% in school year 108.

Mid-term goals

Strengthen 1. the connection between the teaching & its assessment of listening & speaking and the facilities, and 2. the relevance between teaching and the planned scenario for learning English.

Long-term goals

Every school in Miaoli is equipped with an English scenario simulation classroom closely related to teaching.

  5. ETRC integrates every English collaborative project, workshop, and social media to boost the research and development of English teaching materials.
  6. Conduct the interactive learning program of listening to English broadcasts and set up reward systems.
  7. Encourage each school to set an English Day and uploads photos and outcomes to the ETRC website.

  6. Host English Listening Tests for elementary and junior high teachers.
  7. Conduct the registration of the second certificationin English for elementary school teachers
  8. Assess the learning effectiveness of Miaoli’s elementary and junior high students.
  9. Integrate website resources of theEnglish Advisory Group and enrich the content of the ETRC website
