My Homestay Family
A few days ago, my homestay mom took Sara, who is staying with me in the same family, and me to Birdwood Chinatown. She bought us bubble tea and showed us around. The bubble tea was delicious, and we all had a great time.
When I first met my homestay mom, I was a bit nervous because I was afraid she might not like me. Luckily, my homestay mom is a wonderful person. My homestay family includes Dad, Mom, their daughter Chi, and Mia, who is from China and stays with us just like Sara and I do. My homestay dad is working overseas, so only my homestay mom is here to take care of us.
One day, my homestay mom worked late, so Sara and I had dinner together. After we finished, I decided to help wash the dishes. When my homestay mom came back, she told me she had a dishwasher. I felt a bit silly for not realizing it earlier.
I feel very comfortable and warm with this homestay family. I like them a lot and am very grateful to them, especially my homestay mom, who often takes us shopping even though she is very busy. I hope that I can keep in touch with them in the future. I think I will miss them very much after going back to Taiwan.
